Over the past 6 months I have been instructed as independent Counsel by Matt Williams on behalf of the Secretary of State for the Home Department. Matt is in charge of booking cases, ensuring we are aware of last minute changes and responding to emails when there are queries or missing documentation.
Without Matt's 24/7 support, cases would have been missing vital paperwork and would have undoubtedly failed on this basis.
Matt is due to leave this role today. I am not sure what the plan is as of next week but whoever takes over this position is going to have big boots to fill!
This is a petition for Matt's position to remain as long as Counsel continue to be instructed. We are all aware the amount of lists are being reduced due to the recruitment of HOPOs and therefore we are only asking for things to continue as long as we are at Hatton Cross.
