Matey was savagely attacked and killed by a pack of coyotes just on the border of her own backyard. This petition is meant to prompt swift action by the Town of Sullivans Island to change their 'co-exsist' with coyotes policy. The Town of Sullivans Island should eradicate or at a minimum, control the ever increasing population of coyotes who clearly pose a deadly threat to its citizens and their pets.

Coyotes not only hint in packs but as loners. They will hunt anything smaller than them or sense weakness. With SI relying on their tourist population it would be in the best interest of the town to look into options of controlling the coyote population that other towns have adopted.

Sullivan's Island administrators, don't let our Matey's death be in vain. Change this policy and save others this heartache or worse.
