Match Group Employees Demand HUMAN RIGHTS for ALL
With the fall of Roe v. Wade and the actions that have followed, the rights of ALL people to be safe and free from harm continue to be stripped away. Although the primary focus of this attack on human rights have been women, non-binary people in need of access to reproductive healthcare, and the broader LGBTQ+ community, the recent actions by our federal, state and local governments and representatives directly impact the ability of ALL people to live freely in our society without an ever-present fear that simply being who they are will subject them to harm. The time is now for BIG, BOLD corporate social action by putting PEOPLE FIRST and acting to take back and protect HUMAN RIGHTS for ALL.
A shared vision worth fighting for. That vision is to build an authentic, equitable, and respectful community, free from all forms of harm for ALL people. This vision can be achieved when we use our powerful voice to speak out about what is right, just, and true and demand that Match Group speaks out as well. Match Group has a powerful voice in this space and so do we, the employees - when we raise this voice together towards the goal of HUMAN RIGHTS for ALL, we can achieve powerful results.
We cannot sit by, hoping that our corporation will take the the right and necessary actions. The time is now to ASSEMBLE. Join us in making your voice heard by signing this petition (whether by name or anonymously), demanding that Match Group take BIG, BOLD visible action to:
- Corporation Headquarters: Demand Match Group operate its headquarters ONLY in a state that supports human rights and has a broad range of protection to ensure equality for all, including reproductive rights as identified by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) State Equality Index: “Working Toward Innovative Equality” list, and supported by Planned Parenthood.
- Texas is not on HRC’s “Working Toward Innovative Equality” list. Request a timeline for when Match Group headquarters will be moved, and outline support resources for state-based employees. (ie. state-based employees provided remote work options, relocation packages, etc.)
- Employee Impact Support: Demand Match Group provide employees upon their request a relocation package and related services if the employee resides in any state that DOES NOT support human rights and DOES NOT have a broad range of protection to ensure equality for all, including reproductive rights as identified by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) State Equality Index “Working Toward Innovative Equality” list, and supported by Planned Parenthood.
- Take a Visible Stand: Demand Match Group publicize externally the actions called for here with media outlets, to include but not be limited to a press release sent to all local, national and international press and in a newsroom blog post encouraging others in the industry to take similar actions on behalf of human rights and the safety of all people.
