My kids have had enough of these face coverings. Let parents decide what is healthy for their own family its not the schools job to parent our kids.

Enough is enough. It should be a personal choice period.

STOP THE MASK MANDATES NOW. The science just isnt there and my kid hates wearing it all day in class.

I would like to thank whoever took the initiative to make this petition. Also I would like to say that I strongly oppose my children being forced to wear dehumanizing/uncomfortable/harmful masks to school for 7-8 hours a day. We already know that the virus has little to no effect on children. If you are worried about them catching the virus and bringing it home and spreading it to you or an elderly/immunocompromised/unhealthy person that may be vulnerable to the virus, then I would suggest that you or the elderly/immunocompromised/unhealthy person recieve the the new *FDA* approved vaccine that was just recently approved, specifically for the immunocompromised or for people with comorbities. That was the big plan in the beginning right? Get it to the high risk people...... There are also other proven ways to successfully fight the virus like hydroxychloroquine, zinc, or maybe just living a healthy lifestyle with the proper diet and exercise. If you are still scared of the virus after all of the stuff that I listed above then I would suggest that you enroll your child in distanced learning or that you have the option to put your child in a mask for that 7-8 hours a day, but please just don't push it on mine. These are just a few light thoughts that I have on top of my head about all of this. I could start talking about the politics behind it all,, and really go a lot deeper into it, but I don't feel that this is platform for that.....Also if you want to sign this petition, but you are hesitant to sign it just because of what you think some people will think of you, just think of what your child will have to go through from wearing the mask all day everyday. Thank you for letting me voice the facts that I have come across regarding the virus as well as my opinion. I feel very fortunate that my daughters are able to attend STM, and that I'm able to be part of such a great community. ONWARD AND UPWARD -Jake Olson

Masking plays an integral part in protecting citizens from Covid 19. Please see the link below for guidance from Children’s Mercy Hospital, where you likely take your children for health care issues and rely on them for the most up to date information. https://www.childrensmercy.org/health-care-providers/providers/connect-with-childrens-mercy/newsletter-the-link/outbreaks-alerts-and-hot-topics-August-2020/

DO NOT MASK OUR KIDS.

Our children are being used as pawns by making them wear a mask that does not work (fact not opinion); because that’s what others are doing, taking the easy road to not stand out, abide by arbitrary- ever moving rules, and virtue signal to those it makes feel better. This should be a choice for parents to make for their own children.

No masks for children who are healthy or have had the shot. Ones who have diseases should wear masks.

It should be a parents choice. Masks should be optional.
