We wish to include our names petitioning for maskless performances at The Ohio State University. Students of the current season have expressed disdain over performing with masks on, as it covers the majority of our faces and dilutes the overall performance quality. As a senior in the Theater, Film and Media Arts program and also as a student performer in Sweat, it is essential for the theme of the play, and the time it is set in, to allow the actors within both Sweat and Violet - the other spring production - to not wear masks during our performance.
