It’s tough to be in the administrators shoes, but imagine these were your high school years forced to social distance and wear a mask. Yet, there is a 99.9% survival rate and children are rarely in harms way. If a teacher or student wants to wear a mask, they can. Imagine prom pictures with a silly mask. This has to end. Let our kids breathe please!

We understand this is a frightening idea for SCS. However, it will always be a challenging decision. It has been engrained in us we must have them. By whom??? Why do we trust “them” when so many other health care professionals say we do not. With a 99.9% survival rate we must begin to trust the Lord. If His blood can raise us from the pit of hell there is no doubt in the scriptures He can protect us from a virus! Psalm 91 made that clear for Believers!

I’m sick of my kids getting asked to wear a mask outside and getting demerits for improperly wearing their masks. I’m praying SCS shows leadership in making masks optional. Those who wish to can choose to wear N95 masks. Those who don’t should be allowed that right as well.

This virus has a well over 99% recovery rate. This is the first time in history that the healthy have been forced to act like they are sick. If someone is sick then they should quarantine. If someone is vulnerable, wear a mask, distance and or Zoom for classes. Mask wearing has a terrible effect on human interactions. People do not relate well to people that they cannot see. Cave syndrome, according to psychologists, is when people are afraid to live normally after being forced into isolation even though it is safe to do so. We need to come out of the cave and into the light! At this point, mask wearing for the healthy is simply proof that people are easy to manipulate and control with fear. You can never be free if you live in fear. Bravery is an indispensable support of freedom. With all of the treatment options, a vaccine and now with millions having the best immunity of all which is from having Covid and recovering, masks for the healthy make zero sense. Just like Rand Paul said, with a vaccine available and immunity being a reality for millions, mask wearing for them has no basis in science. It is pure theater.

I want my kids to breathe fresh air as God intended. Breathing in bacteria on the inside of masks and limiting oxygen—the very breath that He placed in our lungs—is basically saying that God didn’t design our bodies properly. Will we trust Him? For thousands of years, we’ve never restricted the healthy. Please let parents make the mask-wearing decisions for their own kids and make it optional, especially if our kids are already “distanced” in the classroom. After dealing with this for a year now, we know the risk may never be completely gone (just like the flu), but we have more knowledge and treatments available. We also have the option to vaccinate now (if people choose to do so), not to mention a 98-99% recovery rate of treatment is sought early, in addition to very LOW infection rate in kids. Please free our children to live and learn as God intended! Who knew in 2021 we would be asking permission to breathe??

I’m signing because wearing a face covering should be a CHOICE, made by each individual not an institution.
