It should be up to the community to decide. No one person such as a director should be able to fire an Imam.

we love our shiekh. we request to keep him as our leader. we should hold tight to community leaders like him. we're lucky to have someone like him among us.

Please reinstate the position of Shaikh as the imam of el faroq masjid, if he has any immigration issue, he should be offered help by masjid and the community to resolve this problem. Nobody should be fired unless there's a solid evidence of misdemeanors.

Asalamu alaikim , i am sadden to see what is happening in my beloved community. How can this happened . People should be ashamed . And must reinstate the rightful Imam.

An honorable man, keep him in the Masjid or I won’t come

Asalam3lykom I just want to mention that Imam said he is one of most important Imam in houston plz keep him we need him in our community.

I really feel this is completely unfair how to fire such an active Shiekh , muslims are in bad need to , he is snot only beloved and respected by all muslims going to this masjid but also people come from every where to listen to him . I hope to see him back bery soon .

I ve been going to el farok for over 10 years and The current director Masoud acts as the OWNER of the masjid , he furthermore harbors a certain sectarianism and elitism in the masjid..not good for the community. A masjid is a place where unity should fill the air peacefully as a place of worship and sheikh Sayed has been a great leader in that sense for the last 10+ years bringing a moderate a modest non sectarian attitude and vision of Islam to this masjid , and that is one of the reason why he is loved by the whole community . His sincerity and dedication along with his moderation and knowledge have no equal In the Houston community , he therefore shouldn’t be removed but rather honored by the masjid and at the very least his status issues should be resolved by his employer due to his length and dedication at the job instead of it being burden on him and his family Enough corruption and manipulations , reinstate this sheikh , honor him and replace the one man conniving authoritarian administration by an honest dedicated elected shura assembly to better run the FINANCES and affairs of this institution , ENOUGH 3rd world administration

This Sheikh Syed is a laborious Teacher of Isslam

This is absolutely not right to do this to Chaikh Sayed.... The person who served the Houston community for the last thirteen years Jazak Allah our Shaikh and May Allah give him patience and shiffa Ameen

He is a great scholar. He will be a big list for the masjid. Please think twice and put the interest of the masjid before any personal conflict.
