We, the Alumni/Supporters of the Deaf of VSDB do not want our/their Mascots changed. Cardinals has lived in our/their hearts for many years and the Cardinals is the Virginia State Bird! Why change? Indian Chiefs belong to the Blind department for many years for a reason and we believe they want to keep that as well. We, the Deaf Alumni have cheered for the Cardinals since our childhood and the Blind Alumni has cheered for their chiefs. It's enough that we are watching our home going through change -building renovations - don't change our mascots too, it hurts. I guess you have to LIVE AT VSDB to understand! It's HOME.
