We are petitioning the government of Ontario to help increase the regulations against smoking around human beings under the age of majority in the province. It is already illegal to smoke in your cars and at parks, but we feel that in the home is of vital importance. Children need us to protect them and by allowing smoking in the home where children are living or will be living is not protecting them or their health. Childhood allergies and asthma is on the rise and we feel in part to the neglect and ignorance of those who smoke around them. Second and third hand smoke can kill and we wish to include restricting smoking in any homes where children are to reside on a regular basis.
