Please keep the program at Maryknoll. It has helped all of us grow as a leader, cadet, and student. The meeting's time and location are super convenient for me and I love what we do at our squadron. I also love the curriculum part of the CAP program at our school. It's like a Friday meeting and I get to learn more about leadership, character development, and aviation outside of the Friday meetings we have. I love everything about the program we have here at Maryknoll. Before CAP, I was always stuck in my comfort zone, but now, I'm participating in things the old me would have never imagined like going to Wing Events such as the Wing Conference and Banquet and Encampment. I’ve met many friends at CAP and it has helped me grow and I am very grateful to have the senior members we have, help and advise me throughout my journey, so please do not change command. I also do not want to leave my CAP career behind because it’ll help me with college and it’ll be hard to say goodbye to the program and to the people that have helped me grow so much. Please, please, please keep the program at our school and do not change command.

This decision made MID- SCHOOL YEAR is unacceptable! These students have dedicated countless hours to this program.

Please do not move the maryknoll cadet squadron somewhere else or change the command. I love being able to go to the current Friday meetings after school at Maryknoll. This squadron has changed me for the better, and I am pretty sure it has changed others as well. We learned so much from the current senior members and cadet leaders. All of us have grown to become wonderful leaders, and we’re still growing to become even better ones. This change will not be good for any of the cadets. All of us cadets have done great things because of the way this squadron has been running. I love all the various classes that involve leadership, aerospace, character development, PT, hands on learning, and many more. I really like being a part of the whole behind the scenes and being a part of something bigger than myself. We are all held to higher standards, and through being in Maryknoll and this squadron we strive for excellence to do our best in everything we do whether it is giving back to the community, helping a wingman out, leading others, learning from others, taking our tests, etc. I hope that I will still be a part of this squadron until I graduate from high school.

Maryknoll high school has very historic about the CAP program for a long time. We need to keep on going this program for our children 's bright future at the Maryknoll high school.

I cannot fathom how a valued program can disappear mid-year without any transparency. Please consider your students! Unbelievable and very negative for the image of CAP. Don’t just take the easy way out especially to the detriment of your student cadets. This is such a poor example of leadership from a program that teaches our youth LEADERSHIP. Wing Commander needs a Leadership refresher course. So disappointed.

The Maryknoll cadets and squadron leaders operate on trust, empathy, communication skills, leadership and followership, transparency, dedication, accountability, and high personal integrity. Changing this program mid-year leaves all in confusion, destroys the optimism of squadron, makes a lasting negative impact on all parents regarding Wing leadership, shows a lack of transparency and doesn't follow basic conditions, and timelines, people need to accept change. Give the squadron more time to understand and adjust. Be transparent to all parents and cadets with details of what these changes will be.

The Maryknoll Civil Air Patrol Program has been powerfully impactful in the development of character and leadership with countless young people. The fact that the proposed changes have been announced abruptly with no discussion and justification is unacceptable. These changes will materially affect the lives of many students in a negative manner. Keep the program at Maryknoll until the issues can be properly addressed. Very poor leadership and management demonstrated by Wing Commander Lonergan.
