The recent events with ISIS, the persecuted Chaldean Christians, and James Foley inspire this petition. The purpose is to collectively petition Mary, Our Lady of Peace, Mother of Consolation, Queen of Heaven and Earth, for prayers to her Holy Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ, for the conversion of all sinners to the peace of our Heavenly Father. May God have mercy on us and grant us peace.

Remember, oh most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, we fly unto you, oh Virgin of virgins, our Mother. To you do we come, before you we stand, sinful and sorrowful. Oh Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not our petition, but in your mercy, hear and answer us.
