Anyone remember the days of 1994? If you are a Marvel Vs. Capcom fan, you'll probably know it as the year when the arcade fighting game X-Men: Children of the Atom was released by Capcom. While it was your basic Street Fighter type game, it contained characters from Marvel Comics' series of comic books. The game very fun for Street Fighter and X-Men fans alike who wanted to have a fun little match between Wolverine and Storm, Silver Samurai and Spiral, Iceman and the Sentinel, and other such match ups. X-Men: CotA was so popular that there was a Playstation port, which was developed by Probe Entertainment and published be Acclaim. However, back then, consoles weren't as powerful as arcade machines. Because of this, the PS1 port wasn't as fun and top-notch as the original arcade game. Now, why am I explaining something that you probably already know? Because, Nintendo has added the Virtual Console Arcade to the VC, which gives Wii owners the ability to play arcade games. Therefore, we, the fans of the Marvel Vs. Capcom franchise, request that Nintendo rerelease the following arcade games on the Wii's Virtual Console: -X-Men: Children of the Atom -Marvel Super Heroes -X-Men Vs. Street Fighter -Marvel Super Heroes Vs. Street Fighter -Marvel Vs. Capcom: Clash of the Super Heroes It has been 17 years since these games have been released, and we think it's time that they be rereleased for the Virtual Console, as the PS1 ports don't do justice.
