i think the boy was a bully, and Marty just flipped out having been his punching bag for too damn long!

I have been a friend and correspondent of Marty for several years. An Anglican bishop, I help him buy theological books and encourage him in his ministry to fellow residents of the prison where he is.

Free him......Bobby deserved it....WELL!...not to be murdered...but...maybe a good tasty spoonful of his own medicine...I see it as more as self defense for Marty

A victim of bullying and threats together with homosexual undertones. His release needs to be considered.

After reading up on the Marty and Bobby story and watching the movie I believe Marty was bullied by Bobby and in the heat of the moment Marty flipped and stabbed him! free Marty as he's paid for his crime, a crime that seems more self defence than actual murder.

I feel Marty was molested and forced for years to due unspeakable acts he was taped reoeatly all if these terms were do affected by the hate Bobby Kent spurred on to them he found weak sexualky abused people that were weak minded together they didn't equal one whole mind that was affected by sbuse.this not a murder for fun kicks attention they were desperate . not not easy just to move when u ur if a certain age liw ibcomem please call to discuss

Release Marty Puccio. He sought out help from his parents, they ignored him and in the end his hand was forced as he saw no other option. Yes it was premeditated murder but it was not without cause.

I would like to request that Marty Puccio be released from prison. He has been there for many years. I am sure he has not only learned his lesson but been rehabilitated. I am sure he would be a great asset to society. He could help troubled youth etc.

Killing someone is never 'right' per se; however, it seems Puccio endured endless abuse & torment from an overbearing angry, erratic, abusive male. His state of mind was probably that of intense anger, fear, who knows- maybe even dissociation. I don't think he Derserves life in prison. Sounds like Kent was killing Puccio slowly.... is this not in some form or fashion self-defense

Marty was immature in a terrible position. It's impossible to conceive of "the future" at that age or to comprehend how much one's life changes as you age. The number of kids willing to participate based on having been individually hurt by Bobby Kent is evidence of his bullying. How does discarding this young man do anything to improve our society?

Marty should not spend any more time in prison, this being an act of a mob like act of violence, what one grts they all should receive, no one was more guilty then the other, I know how he felt being intimated by someone soo badly that u fear for your life abd safety!

He was young I'm sure suffered from PTSD , no history of violence, he's older and should be able to give back to society...

I myself read then book about 6 times and began digging into the info I could find online about the people involved and the case. Although I’m not an expert I feel they didn’t consider the impact of of Bobby Kent’s behavior on Marty Puccios.

He was very young when he did it He has been in prison for a very long time plus there were others involved in the crime He deserves to be free now He is not a danger now He has had enough

I just watched "Bully".. Let me first say I don't commend murder and yes there could of definitely been another way to handle this situation besides Bobby Kent's life being taken & my deepest sympathies go to his family. I also though feel sad for the 7 kids (then) that are also paying with their life, they'll never live another day without thinking about what happened & will always deal with what they've done.. I whole heartedly believe if they would've been more mature this would've never happened because they would know more the consequences and have a better thought process of how to handle such issues.. Marty in my opinion, after doing more inquiries about him, is not a risk or danger to society. He was treated very badly & bullied most of his life by Bobby up until the point this happened, I believe hes paid for his crime and should have a chance to live a normal life.. A person can only take so much!

There was a great miscarriage of justice here. Not everything was looked at and Martin should not have gotten the harshest sentence. he should be paroled and it is clear he has totally turned his life around and would be a great asset to society.

I am a former pen pal of Marty's . When you are bullied you will do whatever to make it stop. There were others involved, but because they snitched they got lighter sentences and some are even out, that's uncalled for.

Very often, abused women who murder their abusers are given reduced sentences. Marty Puccio, who was often bloodied and bruised by Bobby Kent should receive the same leniency.

What do you expect when someone goes through so much abuse?

Marty has spent almost 26 years in prison and has since changed a lot and no one is the same person they were when they were in their early 20s. He does deserve the opportunity to offer help to others and get to be with his family and daughter. Its cruel and unusual to keep an abused victim in prison.

My parents were close friends of the Puccios many years ago. I met Marty as a child. I remember his family and can't imagine how much abuse he must have endured to have felt there was no solution other than murder. Bullies hold way too much power over their victims. It is a sad story but no reason to hold someone for a life sentence when he was clearly a victim of years of abuse.

Women who kill their male abusers get very light sentences sometimes none at all. This case is a double standard.

People are victims everyday from bullies like this every day. Bullying needs to stop. Free Marty now. He has suffered enough. His parents should have done something to stop the bullying on their son.

Marty has served enough time to recognize what he did was the wrong way to go about it. It's time for Florida to man up and recognize they handled the case in the wrong way. EVERYBODY makes mistakes. We will find that most will have learned from their mistakes if given the opportunity to show it. It's time to free Marty and give him an opportunity to live the rest of his life as a free man.
