Marsham is a small North Norfolk village, 2 miles from Aylsham and 12 miles from Norwich, surrounded by open fields and beautiful countryside, which is a GREENFIELD SITE. This is set to be ruined by a Green/Food Waste Processing Site being built by Norfolk Environmental Waste Services (NEWS) a wholly owned company of Norfolk County Council. The porposed site is against the policies set out by Norfolk County Council, and the District Council, and was turned down by the Parish Council. Hundreds of residents have written already to the Secretary of State expressing their concerns, but this is deemed not to be of National Interest and is therefore not to be considered further by that Department. However, there are many sites in UK giving rise to problems, that are a consequence of such processing in terms of odour and bio-aerosol hazards to health - THEREFORE WE MAINTAIN THESE SITES ARE OF NATIONAL INTEREST! Please sign our petition which will be presented to our local MP, and help save this part of rural England, from disappearing under 9 acres of concrete.
