As a UK expat permanently resident in The Netherlands, I regularly shop at M&S since the store returned to The Netherlands. We use the stores in Amsterdam and The Hague regularly, and both are always busy, weekdays and weekends, with locals, tourists and expats. I don't believe there is a financial case for closure of the stores in Amsterdam and The Hague - there was not last time when the European stores were closed, certainly in the major cities in Holland and France. It's clear that the company keeps chopping and changing its strategy over many years and has now become something of a laughing stock where strategy is concerned. M&S needs a new Exec team that understand the value of the brand and are better able to plan strategically for the long term to serve its customers across Europe. When the UK market struggles, which it is likely to do in the coming years with negotiation of a Hard Brexit, the income flow from Continental Europe will be sorely missed. Time to explore ways to keep M&S open in Holland.

The Hague is such a great store and as a lot of expats visit this store it is really not acceptable for such a great store to disappear

I really liked M&S for its quality food, for their different clothes, the friendliness of the personnel..I wish they could stay in The Hague

I'm such a fan; please do not close down. I will miss the food section where I can find wonderful products. The clothing sections are also nice; especially the ladies lingerie and men's section.

The initial proportions were wrongly estimated (75% clothing, 25% food). Make two floors of The Hague into food and dining; clothes we can get online.
