As a current student at the Leeds School of Business, observing ethical issues centered around marketing, there needs to be a resolution to the corrupt marketing practices. Marketing is a process of distributing goods and services to consumers by fulfilling their needs and capitalizing on consumer wants and desires. Marketing incorporates some of the major emphasises of the business world: accounting, finance, management, and economics. In today's day in age, marketing dilemmas are an ongoing issue as companies are manipulating the marketing mix (product, price, place, and promotion) in a way only benefits the stakeholders values. The call for Marketers to become more responsible for their actions has led for the need to create an ethical code for up and coming Marketers.
As a student at the Leeds School of Business, I promise I will:
- I will avoid misleading consumers through false advertising
- I will never take unfair advantage of consumers through manipulation
- I will make sure all communications about the products or services being offered are not deceptive
- I will follow all applicable laws and regulations regarding marketing

I got this makeup for my girl as a present and it didn't make her happy. We gotta stop this right now!
I got a new phone and dropped it in the bath tub. They never said the phone would stop working so I couldn't use my phone no more. False advertising is wrong yo
companies just lie to us all the time to make a quick buck. glad someone is finally calling them out on their junk.
I really like this petition because I see marketers these days try to manipulate consumers.
