My dad was a regular in the Ashley Brook for many years - sadly he passed away in 2007 and we held his wake in the Ashley brook.

we dont give in to terrorist demands so why should they have to give up because of a few cant handle there beer plastic gangsters .the police should be standing tall alongside mark n janet and refuse to let these few antisocial numptys dictate and ruin peoples lives .its not the pubs or landlords fault when these numptys decide to try n take over a local and make it there own because if its not the ashley brook being targeted then they will only move onto the next pub and the next pub after that . so to the powers that BE stop giving in to these nobs demands and start supporting your landlords landladys and local drinkers establishents .rant over. .

The Ashley Brook, or The Ash, as probably 90% of people know it as, has established itself as one of the safest, friendliest, most welcoming pubs within the whole of Salford. That is solely down to the hard work and dedication of landlord and landlady Mark and Janet McElroy. It is not only the friendly atmosphere in the pub that makes it so appealing, it's the friendliness of all the regulars who hold both Mark & Janet in such high regard. The pub IS the community within Salford 5 and 6, and has done so much for local charities, national charities through special events, fun days, motown nights, Ash-ienda etc to mention but a few. It will be an absolute disgrace and tragedy for the 'authorities' to force Mark and Janet out of what has taken them nearly 14 years to build. So come everyone, let the police and council know how strongly we feel about this.

Keep it open. I know the landlord and landlady have work hard to make this a fun loving pub!
