Why are the council driving around in new cars and stating they are spending huge sums on new parks, when I am struggling to pay the rates.

employees of council should never use council credit cards except for genuine council business. Look after ratepayers, instead of fighting them.

Stop resident payments of staff gala dinners. Endure transparency in all matters. No meetings should ban the public.

Rates, along with electricity and water, and the record prices for petrol/diesel along with MV Registration (which is likely to rise now that the MAC-Insurance has been sold, are becoming unaffordable for people on low incomes.

Trees planted on footpath that damage footpath and roadway, and the council says that the trees are good for the birds and bees, but it is the residents that pay for repairs every couple of years.this is not good use of ratepayers money.

Residential Rates should be based on unimproved land value not capital value of improvements. We had to enlarge our 3 Bedroom Home with 5 kids and of course we were immediately slugged with a huge rate increase we could not afford

As a relatively new resident on the edge of the council boundary, i have seen full rate rises but not a lot of extra benefits. Maybe its timely for a transparent review.

I'm not signing this. I'm happy with the Marion council. I appreciate the many services they offer such as workshops, educational tours, community events that are offered for free. Try being involved in your community and see what it has to offer and what you can offer back, rather than this negativity. Marion is a lot better than other councils.

Lyndon, agreed. I think it has been redone twice since the first works, when the original car park was fine. Marion also looking to put a new children park at kingston when thw present one is great. They need to keep themsel lves in a job!! Can you please add address to make the petition enforceable. Marion will reject the petition but it then goes to the Minister if enough support. Bob

Waste of ratepayers' money duplicating footpath in Emma Street, Marino. A debacle of a new carpark on The Cove Road, Marino - you cannot drive a car into this carpark. It now needs to be re-done when existing one OK.

Lets put our money behind where it is really needed, remember who can use these facilities...hopefully all. Some ideas are great but the up keep can be costly, parks should be open spaces..for more recreation usage. Lets make it open for everyone including families n dogs. The pool sounds great at hallet cove and should be free for all but will it have an enviromental impact ...eg sand movement/erosion.
