Hi everyone! My name is Mario Bozzo and I’m a 1L Dual with hopes of being elected as your SBA Class Treasurer next year!
Just a little bit about me; I’m from a small town in Ontario, I love to cook and spend most of my time outdoors hiking and I’m an aspiring dog owner (who isn’t?) I’m super interested in IP law and Contracts and I hope to be a Fashion lawyer in the future.
If I’m elected as your Class Treasurer I promise to establish a clear line of communication with all students in the program and ensure as much transparency as possible so that each student is aware of the allocation of SBA funds. As a member of the SBA Executive Board, I will make sure that the needs of all students are met and will represent all of you the best I can.
Here are some of my relevant experiences and qualifications for the position:
- As Co-Chair of the Arts Undergraduate Society at McGill, I negotiated over $5000 in sponsorship contracts for Orientation Week for 2 years in a row.
- I spearheaded the planning of McGill Orientation Week, an event with a $250,000 budget for 2 years in a row.
- As Logistics Manager of McGill’s on-campus bar (Bar des Arts), I established the bar’s yearly budget and kept track of the bar’s weekly inventory and financial expenses.
- As President of the Pre-Law Society and the Italian Studies Association, I worked closely with the VP Finance to manage the club’s finances and bring in sponsorship.

The current SBA leadership is hiding behind a wall of opacity and refuses to explain where our student fees actually disappear to. I am tired of the backroom deals and the lack of accountability from a board that treats our money like their personal slush fund. Demand better from the people who claim to represent you.

The administration continues to ignore our demand for financial transparency but this surge of support proves they cannot silence us forever. We are building the real momentum needed to drag the SBA out of the shadows and make them finally answer to the students who fund this institution.

Mario for treasurer!! He knows his stuff with contracts and stuff.
Mario is the best guy for the job. He handled those huge budgets at McGill like a pro, we definitely need someone experienced handling our money.

Honestly no one is more qualified than you Mario. You already handled 250k at McGill so this should be a walk in the park! Good luck!
