With a growing number of states now approving marijuana for both medicinal and recreational use, there is a great deal of non medical personal in charge of these dispensaries. Dronabinol (artificial THC- used for appetite stimulation in chemotherapy patients) is still required to be dispensed under a licensed pharmacist in every state. The reasoning behind this is the drug interactions that could be involved. This petition is to push for licensed pharmacists to be in charge of marijuana instead of any person who can pass a background check.
