Dear City Manager Cale Curtis,

Please keep the Margate Firefighter’s Dog Park open daily, including after 5pm on Wednesday when its weekly maintenance has been completed. We all appreciate a well maintained park, but feel that the city’s highly efficient maintenance crew has always been able to complete the grass cutting , trash disposal, lawn repair, and any one of a number of routine weekly tasks needed, during the morning and afternoon hours. If a monthly service, such as pest control spraying for example, needs to be done, of course routine park goers might expect a complete day closure for more involved maintenance events as they occur and are posted. We all enjoy the safety of a securely fenced and well lit park, where coyotes aren’t roaming in the early evening hours.

We now ask you to adjust the dog park hours to allow the dog park users an opportunity to have their dogs to run and play together each day, in this maintained dog park.
