Margate has gone downhill on a spiral that has never been fixed, A art gallery and event based theme park will not solve the issues. Iron out the creases fix the relevant problems and people might actually want to visit and care about where they live. lack of litter bins, lack of police and a lack of care by the council and government. people riot over less concerning problems so support people who actually want to help. Signed, Shared and hopefull.

It seems illogical and unfair that Ramsgate and Broadstairs have Town Councils and yet Margate does not. The Villages: Manston, Minster, Monkton, St Nicholas at Wade and Sarre, Acol and Birchington all have a parish councils and Westgate has a Town Council and there seems no logic to Margate and Cliftonville being left out of this arrangement. I do not live in Margate but would support this petition on this basis

This could be a good thing If everyone can keep politics off the agenda, Just Local people looking after our local area & residents concerns. Because to put it politely trying to deal with Thanet Council or Kent County Council is extremely difficult and usually gets you Nowhere.

I definitely think Margate should have their own tc. I cannot think why they haven’t. I’m sure a lot more people would be happy to muck in for their own town rather than a useless council.
