I agree that something needs to be done with the speeding in our community. It has been an issue from day one . I also agree with board that playing in the streets should not be condoned. Using any street as a playground is dangerous no matter what the speed limit . Painting signs on the road will be a reminder but not stop it . Speed bumps will slow traffic down going over them but between them it might not and winter plowing might rip them up . I think we need to try the speed bumps and road signage and the board is looking at those things . The board can approve those items to be done but they are not policemen. If we as a community are really concerned about speeding then we all have to be watchdogs . It will only stop if we are all involved .

Parents, this means we must do everything we can to protect our own! The board has done nothing about the issue and will continue to drag their feet.

On the topic of ongoing concern and recent dialogue regarding speeding in our community and the safety of children at play:
One of the challenges in our community is lack of space for children to play. Parents are responsible for overseeing the safety of their children. As an HOA board, we do not condone the use of streets for child play space. Because the primary purpose of a street is for maneuvering of vehicles, the nature of a street is not conducive to a safe child play space. Children are encouraged to play on sidewalks, their own driveway, or the grassy areas. If the grassy area near your house is littered with dog waste or other unpleasantries that make it unsuitable for children to play, please contact the board by email.
As a Motor Vehicle Driver, it is the driver's responsibility to abide by the 10mph speed limit, be aware of their surroundings, and not hit persons who may be crossing the street.
We are pursuing several methods of prompting drivers to abide by the 10mph speed limit. We have been consulting with several different companies regarding types of speed bumps/humps, speed bump locations, as well as signage and road painting that goes along with that.
Thank you for being good neighbors. Thank you for watching out for each other.

I agree that something more needs to be done. So many little kids playing and people walking everyday, whatever needs to be done to keep our great community safe I’m for! People need to slow down.

This should've been done a long time ago. Speed humps need put in between stop signs as well. Also, stop signs need to be placed on the right side of the street.

I agree whole heartedly with the idea of putting speed bumps in the area. There are too many people speeding here and not abiding by the 10 mph limit. I have a 4 yr old and an 8 yr old who likes riding their bikes. I hope it does not have to result in someone getting seriously hurt for a change to be made.

With us just having a baby a few weeks ago, I completely agree. We want somewhere safe for our child to play when he is old enough since there is no designated playground in this neighborhood.
