Traffic speed has been a long standing issue in the Maple Glen community. Visitors and newcomers don't see the posted speed limit of 10MPH. Because of the lack of a play area, children in the neighborhood have no other place to play than the street. They deserve to ride their bikes and scooters without the fear of being hit by a car. A suggestion was made to the HOA board to paint street markings (stop bar & speed limit) through out the community. Previously, crosswalks and a stop bar was painted on Mapleton Street (across from the gazebo). Cost to complete the project is inexpensive and can be completed quickly.
