The local officials have finalized the agreement to connect the trail segments between Williams Street and Melrose Lane. This successful outcome reflects the hard work of the 638 people who supported this goal from the beginning. I appreciate your patience as we await the upcoming construction and planning phases.
I urge the elected officials of Harford County and Bel Air to secure the land rights to allow for the connection of the Ma and Pa trail segments between Williams St. in Bel Air and Melrose Lane in Forest Hill using the most cost effective means possible."
The petition has now reached five hundred signatures. This milestone confirms that the community recognizes the long-term benefit of connecting these trail segments. I appreciate the dedicated engagement shown by everyone who added their name to this initiative.

Completion of this trail is long past due. In a county with one of the highest obesity rates in the state, we should be encouraging everyone to get out and exercise while enjoying the county's beauty!

We need to tell the county to use eminent domain to acquire the Hooper property.

I would love for the Ma & Pa trails to be connected to provide an extensive safe environment for me to ride my bike and exercise my active dog. I vote an enthusiastic YES!

If this trail were connected, I would be able to walk or bike my children to their school from our home without encountering more than a couple blocks of traffic. It would be a safe, healthy and pollution-free way for us to run this twice-daily errand!

Though not a Harford County resident, I visit the Ma and Pa trail often and would do so more often and encourage others from Balto Co. to make the trip also, if the trail were longer. Would love to see it connected.

Completion of this trail would be of great benfit to the entire community.
