I think schools should have a mandatory mental health class as part of their curriculum, in which students learn about depression, anxiety, PTSD, eating disorders, and other mental illnesses. Students could also learn good coping skills and explore ways to get help if they are struggling.

This would help create more awareness among adolescents/young adults, with the hope of reducing suicide rates and erasing the stigma of mental illness from an early age.

Kids deal with so much more now, they need to learn about mental illness for either themselves or other people affected.

Schools need to educate students on how to deal with mental stress and know the signs so they can learn coping skills.
