We, the undersigned, petition to set in motion and support a Maryland statewide drug testing policy for all current public assistance recipients and all future assistance applicants. Many states have passed such legislation and demand that Maryland do the same.
It’s reasonable for the taxpayers, who are lending a hand, to expect that those receiving assistance do not do so any longer than necessary. It is also reasonable for the taxpayers to expect that benefits will not be used to subsidize an illegal drug habit.
One this petition reaches 30,000 a copy of this petition will be sent to every member of Annapolis.
