Stop! Try tax decrease for once. Function within the existing allocations. This is over 6 years of tax increases. Try to ballance the budget for once.

If it is proving to be too difficult to manage the city efficiently, then it's time to consider joining the county because clearly fiscal management is not a city strength.

Just because the city is attracting more businesses into the area, doesn't mean we can afford higher taxes. Salaries are not increasing but taxes take huge jumps every year. There don't seem to be any added benefits or improvements to the city residents. Between taxes and outrageous surcharges on utilities, Manassas will lose current residents because it's too expensive. Who are you trying to push out? Are you trying to be some exclusive community for the rich? The city has already proved with the whole overcharging business taxes and charging residents to raise the money to pay them back debacle, that they don't seem to be fiscally responsible. Some people are barely making it. Look at all the social services being requested and food pantries in operation.

A TON of new housing going in, in Manassas, why can't you get the increase taxes you need from all the new housing? Sounds like mismanagement to me!

Seniors used to get a better tax relief than 2019. The city needs to go back to that equation because seniors don't get raises in pay, many only have social security so to raise their tax allowances so that they are forced to sell and live out the rest of their days in a homeless shelter is abhorent all because of greed.

The tax bracket in the city of Manassas seems to be the highest out of all three county jurisdictions. I don't see any of that money being put into the community that would offer resources to the residence living there. For example, a community center that will offer recreation and other amenities for the residents like Manassas Park and Prince William county has.
