I didn't pay tuition to teach myself a course where the professor blames students for all mistakes, then punishes us for asking questions. Also, fake ratemyprofessor reviews? That destroys all of Dr. Bejan's trust and credibility

I agree that this class was far too difficult and confusingly taught. I didn't learn much because of Bejan's confusing teaching style and unreasonable expectations. Felt like I spent more time battling her and her badly implemented methods than actually learning the material.

The fact that 70% of our grade came from our performance on two very difficult tests made the chance for success slim, especially since we were misled about the structure of the final and given limited support to study for them.

I have never in my entire academic career failed a class. I agree with the lack of consistency we had in our class. You know it is a problem when majority of the class found out weekly practice problems were being posted up after the midterms. I have attended all classes and stayed after school for guidance. i have never worked so hard for a class and no results to show for it.

This class is ridiculous, I've never been in a class this bad. I studied till 4-5am few weeks before the exam, and i FAILED, i just can't believe it. I did all the sample questions and practice on Myeconlab, but i guess that didn't bring me a pass. This class is full of misleading and the teacher always refuse to show us how to do problems i would say. If you just randomly look into a problem or two in whether the sample questions or the midterm, many steps are skipped. Also the teacher lied about there will be MC questions as well. And so much more to tell. But Overall comment: VERY BAD CLASS!

This class is ridiculous. I studied till 4am everyday 2 weeks before exam, and i did not pass!!! I just can't believe it!

Out of all my finals I had put the most time and effort into this final studying the same problems and other materials. I feel like the final doesn't reflect on my performance throughout the class. Along with the review session after I had studied the sample problem I had found that there were many errors with the numbers on the samples which I had already studied and made sense of.

I agree with the sentiments of this petition and many of our classmates. I studied for 20 hours in the day and a half preceding this exam, working off all sample content provided and material used throughout the course; as well as attended the class study session beforehand. Having attended all but one of the classes this quarter, and completed the homework and extra credit provided - and still be deeply concerned with the possibility of even passing - it's clear that something is wrong here. There has been a complete disconnect between homework, lecture, and exam content, unclear and inconsistent communication, and a peculiar disdain for assisting students who seek help reviewing content relevant to the course. Furthermore, I am extremely frustrated that there is a precedent being set in which blatant grade-shaping is implemented in order to shore up poor administration and instruction of this course; and am deeply disappointed if this is something that the Business School considers a kosher and enriching education worthy of accreditation and acclaim. This is something that must be addressed going forward.

I completely agree with this! Not fair at all with final and midterm. Told us it would include multiple choice and there was none. Especially since we this is a prerequisite for other business classes.

I agree with this petition. I would like to also add that the Sample Questions Proffesor Bejan gave to us had multiple typos and errors that she only notified us of the night before the exam.

This final was only pieces of what we had learned throughout the quarter, and without proper guidance there was no real chance that I could succeed. It's as is the we were taught to be punished by unfairness.
I do not agree with the proposal, but I think that something needs to be done with this course. Bejan was clearly unfair and did not listen to student feedback regarding the midterm. The final was excruciatingly hard and students that don't pass the class aren't allowed to retake it. I will not be forced to drop out of my major because of one test. Either do not count the final, or allow all students to retake the course.

I was really upset after finishing the econ final. I studied really hard, practiced most of the sample question and review the lectures, but it didn't help at all.

I was able to do all the sample and midterm problems after much practice and was only able to fully complete two of the six final problems.
