I was paying £1 for 2.72 litres of milk and feeling pretty good about that. Then, for no reason I could see, as no store was offering it for less, it dropped to 89p. But why? There was no screaming demand for even cheaper milk. It seemed to have happened simply to prove it could happen. If I had to pay £1 again, or even £1.10, or slightly more, I coud afford this. I'm not rich, but I'm not bathing in the stuff either! I'd rather see dairies survive than save a fraction of a penny on a cup of tea.

We should all support our farmers to ensure we can continue to buy fresh milk produced in our own country, maybe the supermarkets should reduce profitability in the dairy product range to stop driving down wholesale prices, needs some legislation Mr Cameron to stop this becoming a catastrophe !!

Good Luck, I think all you're hard work & commitment should be rewarded with fair prices off your product.

I feel that the supermarkets and Europe are telling the farmers that they will only get this amount in subsidies and then supermarkets tell the farmers that if they want to sell all of his milk, then they have to agree it.
