British farming standards are the highest in the world, not supporting our farmers is both immoral and short sighted, as the great British countryside is entirely a result of our history as an agricultural nation.

Dairy farms are part of the British way of life. A fairer price must be paid to farmers, not only to provide them with a living wage, but, to allow the British countryside to continue looking as it should, with herds of cows grazing the pastures. Come on UK Government! Step in a demand a fair price to farmers for a pinta!

Stop the continual enlargement of the dairy industry that isn't and won't deliver for our dairy farmers. Introduce herd ceilings, ban 24/7 confinement dairying practices and put long-lived grass converting cows at the centre of regional dairy farms producing milk and dairy products for the regions. The global dairying model kills farmers only to be replaced by ever larger milk producers. We don't need this type of dairy infrastructure in Britain, we really don't.

Please give our dairy farmers a fair deal for the hard work they do.
