Farmers/ a union should set a price and not go below it - sell privately if necessary - the public will soon figure out they can't keep buying ridiculously priced milk, meat and fish. It's not fair on the farmers, their staff and, most of all, the animals who are the source of the public's requirements. No respect for animals and their carers will equal no produce at all.

At one time a pint of milk was the same price as a loaf of bread. Milk is too important a product to be sold as it is today. Don't want to depend on imported milk in the future.

Tesco & others are being investigated on other issues. Surely it is time the Government took some action on pricing & on the time it takes supermarkets tom pay up. Farming is hard at the best of times. Must we wait for more farmers to take a shotgun to themselves? Without them, we would be dangerously dependent on imports. What sortm of world allows this, while big conglomerates pat 5 billion to screen a game of football?

Please lets pay a fair price for milk. The price does not reflect the hard work and costs of producing it.
