The undersigned supports the General Workers' Union (GWU) of Malta in its industrial disputes with the British High Commission (BHC) in Malta. The undersigned appeals to the BHC and the British Government to (i) immediately open a dialogue with the General Workers' Union on behalf of any members it represents and to stop any anti-union behaviour adopted; (ii) withdraw any unilateral revocation of Union recognition and submit to Maltese judicial authorities that are competent to decide the case; (iii) conduct a serious and autonomous investigation into the termination of employees in the past three years without regarding any waiver of action signed by employees when offered compensation. 'Named' signatures are appreciated so as to elevate the strength of this petition.
