We, the Homeowners and Residents of Malibu Estates in Plano, Texas, respectfully request that the city install connecting sidewalks which will enable safe passage along E. Plano Parkway and E. 14th Street. It is a dangerous proposition to attempt to walk to parks, stores, neighboring communities, and other locations. We strongly believe the combination of heavy, fast-moving traffic and lack of available walking paths will not end well. The proposed sidewalk segments will connect with existing sidewalks and provide not only safe passage, but also much needed peace of mind. Please refer to the aerial views attached showing the location of proposed sidewalks. We thank you in advance for your consideration, and hopefully, for your action in this potentially life-saving matter.

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many people have joined this effort since I started it. This momentum belongs entirely to our neighbors who refuse to accept walking in the grass along the parkway as the standard. Thank you for showing that our community cares about keeping everyone safe.

My kids want to go to their friends house but I dont let them walk because there is no sidewalk. Make it safer for us.
The traffic on Plano Parkway is way too fast. I see people walking in the ditch all the time and it is just a matter of time before someone gets hit.
Its pretty crazy that we have to jump in the weeds just to get to the park. Fix this soon.
Much needed so we can walk to convenience stores, hospital and parks. There is no way to go to the 14th St without trespassing through the police academy and other properties.
Yes please. Being able to walk to the store without worrying about cars would be great.
It will be a nice addition for our community.
