We, the Homeowners and Residents of Malibu Estates in Plano, Texas, respectfully request that the city install connecting sidewalks which will enable safe passage along E. Plano Parkway and E. 14th Street. It is a dangerous proposition to attempt to walk to parks, stores, neighboring communities, and other locations. We strongly believe the combination of heavy, fast-moving traffic and lack of available walking paths will not end well. The proposed sidewalk segments will connect with existing sidewalks and provide not only safe passage, but also much needed peace of mind. Please refer to the aerial views attached showing the location of proposed sidewalks.
