Whilst perceived as a challenge to keep Labor out at the next Federal Election, let's not forget, there are other right wing political parties with more sensible Climate & related Energy policies than the LNP currently (ie The Australian Conservatives, One Nation, The LDP, CDP & the ALA) to whom we The People can Vote No: 1 and then CAREFULLY assign our preferences elsewhere in such a way such that LNP candidates afford us with a back-stop!
The LNP must ALWAYS remain above the likes of Labor & The Greens relegated to the bottom of the voting ticket. That will:
1. Formally register the level of dissatisfaction among Conservative voters,
2. Deny the LNP of first vote preference funding (currently $2.63/vote),
3. May result in new Conservatively focused MP's from other minor right wing political party's into the Parliament,
4. Deny voter preferences in favour of Labor & The Greens.

I would also call on the Liberal Party Executive branch to also be sacked because of their involvement in this treacherous action of removing Tony Abbott from his position as the legitimate PM.

I have never experienced a more hapless, self-serving, unprincipled, smug, dumb and unprofessional bunch of politicians as the ones we have in parliament right now

MT is a hopeless PM> He has almost destroyed the LNP. which I firmly believe is what he set out to do. He must go NOW. Bring back Tony.

I certainly encourage the PM Malcolm Turnbull to resign and sit on the back bench and shut up until the next election is called. You have destroyed the Liberal Party and are no longer wanted. You should have had the decency to at least give Abbott a ministerial position as he did for you.

Turnbull is a big disappointment for many Australians. Perhaps the only reason for him to win the next federal election would be that the thinking Australian don't want Shorten and the ALP running this country and have no choice but to give the coalition a tick again, albeit very reluctantly. However, I would like to see Tony Abbott as PM to lead this country to the next election in 2019. Abbott

Malcolm is ruining the Conservative side of politics. He is a quasi conservative and should be standing down. I am fearful of the road he is leading us down.

We, citizens of Australia, appalled by the act of treachery in bringing down Prime Minister Tony Abbott who had led the coalition to victory in 2013, are now concerned by the serious problems facing the country and the continuing inability of the Turnbull government to provide solutions which would be obvious if the government were to apply the principles of the Liberal Party as expounded by its founder, Sir Robert Gordon Menzies

The Coalition's primary vote under Turnbull has consistently fallen below the primary vote under Abbott, so the "trajectory" is even worse. Clearly putting a left-of-centre leader in charge of the Liberal Party was a stupid idea. Who woulkd have thought?

The major parties have lost the plot ??? Australia must separate it self from the UN .. when Julie Bishop freely spends tax payers money on aid and relief to other country's .. charity must start at home .. Aussies first .. Turnbull spent 120 million on Gay rights for marriage .. and offered our drought stricken farmers a low interest loan .. WTF has this country come to ??? We need a government like Howard and Costello again .. at least they had a surpluss when they left power ????
