I didn't know Mark, but like Jojo said, this shouldn't happen to people crossing a road.
you could argue people need to be more cautious themselves when crossing a road like william nadin way, as it's a road with industrial estates on it, not a built up residential area, so people are bound to speed, especially with the length of the road.
you won't stop people speeding just because you've got a crossing/speed cameras/speed bumps there.
it doesn't stop people speeding anywhere else so why would it stop people speeding there?
it was a tragedy to lose someone of course. - but the issue of speeding won't be stopped by these measures.
plus because the road is not a built up residential area, I'm not sure there would be anything more than speed cameras there at most if the petition worked. - even then, speed cameras don't stop people speeding.

When will this area become a safer place for all ages?? Midway Road is a speed track as well. More speed bumps and cameras need to be put in around all areas. A young man gone who had so much ahead of him, a total loss of life for nothing all because the councils do nothing to protect the people they are suppose to be helping in the first place, disgusting!!

There should be a speed camra, not everybody sticks to the speed limit they go alot higher, something needs to be done to make people safe,

No one ever goes 50mph down this road it's always a lot higher . Known to many as Swad drag strip .it needs some measures in place to keep the speed to a minimum
