Everyone that has been through high school has felt some form of "slavery" since they have been forced to learn things they don't care about learning and then to be punished for it. You can't expect someone to be good at something they hate. Where's the fairness and your voice in this? Isn't this country about posting your voice? My idea is having middle school which lasts 3 years (I'm assuming for every school) to be about exploring each occupational field like teaching, engineering, art, science, etc at the student's own choice of order as long as they have explored and learned a lot about what they like or dislike. That way they've grown a lot as a person in the 3 years and have a better idea of what they want to do with their lives. High school should then be about exploring a field or occupation that they for sure know the insides and outs as well as the pros and cons that they have chosen and taking classes pertaining to it instead of a mixture of it. This way they realize what they don't like and there won't a "sucks to be you" situation along with any feeling of despair. If they can't figure it out before middle school, then it is their fault or they have to stay there until they've figured it out. What does art have to do with algebra? Why make the child who wants to be an artist solve math problems unless if they want to design props. This petition's purpose is to make it more fair for the young and sensitive student.

The government, I'm assuming if this will get enough signatures, will solve the kinks later a hopefully justify any reasons not to change it or some compromise.
