THIS IS A PETITION FOR BERKLEE TO MAKE UP CANCELLED CLASSES, OR TO MAKE UP FOR THEM. WE ARE NOT ASKING TEACHERS TO COME IN ON SNOW DAYS, BUT WE WANT CLASSES TO BE MADE UP, OR MADE UP FOR. ------- All of us have been affected by the recent spell of poor weather, with school being closed, and classes being cancelled. The tuition fees for spring are 15650 + 610 (comprehensive fee) = 16260 This gives you an idea of how much we are paying per credit hour. Every hour of school we miss is roughly 67.75 dollars, and with three 2-hour classes in a single day, this can really add up when school is closed. It is unlikely that Berklee will ever organize make up classes for these missed days, but no refunds are made, no one asks questions, and we simply carry on with a term that costs more per credit hour, every time a day of school is cancelled. I therefore ask all of you, who feel the same way that I do, to support this initiative for Berklee to make up for every single class that we have missed OR refund us (as a last resort, I suppose). In the same way that a teacher is OBLIGATED to make up for a class that he/she misses for whatever reason. International students feel the pinch especially hard in these times, because the last thing we need is to pay (in addition to what we are already paying for school, apartments, plane tickets) for something that we do not receive in the end. If you paid in advance to attend the somewhat prestigious college that Berklee is supposed to be - YOU DESERVE YOUR CLASS TIME, OR A REFUND -------------------- To the school administration: We want to have across the board makeup lessons for lost days, or refunds to be issued for credit hours lost.
