If you truly don't have the original masters to do something like the TNG restoration from, at least be sure to use the Anchor Bay DVDs' video as a source from which to start trying to restore what can be.
The video quality is far better than the later Universal DVDs, after all.
And for the love of Sappho, *don't pull a Buffy the Vampire Slayer-esque slaughter of the lighting's mood or get set equipment on screen. :<

I'm a huge fan. I have the series on DVD, but the compression rate is awful, and even watching it on streaming, it looks horrible.
