Why must students fight and beg to sing on their own campus grounds?

There's no better venue and no real reason to not host it on campus , it's the most cost effective , the closest and therefore safer for students to get to.

As a former student I have to agree with previous comments given: although the danger in presenting UP A capella on campus due to the threat of upsetting the fragile political climate at the university is very real, it will also not promote transformation and inclusion to discard and hide a cultural activity such as this. It rather seems like the cowards way out to not tackle the task and rather sweep it under the rug. If the competition continues then it should occur on campus as a proud product of the hard work of Tuks students.

We are paying to use all of the University's facilities. Why are we not allowed to use them for Res Activities?

What's the point of having the theatres if students can't use them?

The university cannot let the fear of something it is easily supposed to be able to stop rule the decision to cease cultural activities and their promotions. If the university does this it will be the start of another problem as more and more students will be dissatisfied.
