Make Ultimate Frisbee a Club Sport in Fairfax County

Ultimate Frisbee is a low-cost, easy-to-learn, fun sport that is burgeoning in popularity. Currently, Ultimate, as it is commonly called, is second-class - being denied field space and time for practicing. By incorporating Ultimate into FCPS as an official sport, Ultimate teams would be able to gain the recognition they deserve in order to use fields and become completely organized. Please incorporate Ultimate as an official FCPS sport.

I watched all the games last spring. These kids worked very hard, and spent a lot of time practicing. It's a shame that Fairfax County does not recognize their efforts.

My son plays ultimate and the benefits of a sport that is less structured allowing students to negotiate and plan amongst themselves has been invaluable. Respect and sportsmanship and friendships have been great results.

I played Ultimate at TJ when I was in high school and it was a great experience. First sport I played in school seriously and introduced my friends to it in college.
