Fitness, morale, retention, and overall health are at an all time premium across every branch of the U.S. Military. On paper we promote health and fitness but we often don't have the incentives in place to properly reward those who go above and beyond to demonstrate superior fitness. All warfare devices in the U.S. Navy are now voluntary, so this SWOLESWS fitness pin would represent sustained, superior fitness, both visibly, and as an incentive for Sailors, both enlisted and officer.
