Traveling to Chicago to put us in a room for the purpose of a live review during a pandemic is unsafe. Even if we are all vaccinated, we can all carry it and bring the strains from our areas of the country to a single location for the other students to bring back to their homes. Not to mention the boarding of airplanes and the air quality of fights. I would understand if the purpose was for hand-on learning or skills. This is literally sitting and listening, which #1 is not my form of learning and #2 a prime example of what Zoom technology is for. As we surpass the 1918 death toll, CU should really rethink mandating the in-person option. I see no valid reason for it other than financial gain for the school.

COVID is way worse than it has been even before vaccines. It is not worth the risk.

Our safety is crucial and attending a large conference seems irresponsible in the midst of a pandemic. Our safety and the safety of our patients is essential. Allow us an option to do this virtually. Do your duty and protect us!

In Arkansas number are rising we have no beds, and patients are being turned away and sent home on hospice for otherwise curable diseases. We deserve better during a pandemic to keep us and our families safe.

Traveling to Chicago for a conference when most of us work with covid patients is irresponsible, especially since most hospitals are running out of icu beds. We should do this online and stay safe.
