The state of Texas, when deciding to do away with the statute of limitations for sexual crimes against children, did not make the new statute retro-active. Many pedophiles will essentially get away with their crimes due to their victims being shamed or scared until the old statute made it too late for their pedophile to see justice. We are asking that the Texas judicial system, led by Attorney Greg Abbott, allow retro-activeness in the cases. This petition has been started by one such victim.
