Make Starbucks Contribute to a Deforestation-free Future!
Forests around the world are being destroyed for unsustainable palm oil, with over 150 acres lost every minute of every day and 78 million acres lost every year.
A World Wildlife Fund assessment of global companies gave Starbucks a 1/10 on its scorecard, which uses a number of metrics to evaluate sustainability and palm oil usage. While the company has improved its commitment to ethically source, they have lagged behind on addressing further concerns about palm oil use in its sold products and stores.
By signing this petition we are saying that we refuse to be part of wildlife extinctions and catastrophic deforestation and would like a sustainable choice in the products sold by Starbucks.
The choice is ours, Unsustainable Palm Oil with the side of catastrophic deforestation and amazing plants and animals losing their home; Or Sustainable Palm Oil with the plants and animals of forests having a habitat and home!
