The title say it all. Just recently, the company Sony announced that they will be working a Sonic the Hedgehog full motion film for 2015, if I'm not mistaken. Anyway, the company will also be paired with Marza Animation Planet, which I found out that they created the Sonic Unleashed short film "Night of the Werehog" and some the cutscenes of current Sonic the Hedgehog video games and which are really awesome! SO....why the worry and why the petition? Well, good readers and fan of the blue blur, the CEO of Marza, Masanao Maeda states that "Sony Pictures has had great success with hybrid animated and live-action features, and w're confident that thiscollaboration will bring a fresh take to Sonic..." STOP! Stop that whole quote! Three words should not be put together in that sentence: "Hybrid Animation" ,"Live-Action Features" , and "Sonic the Hedgehog" ! THAT IS A TERRIBLE IDEA! If you guys seen "Alvin and the Chipmunks" and "The Smurfs" you know what they have in mind: They want to put the cast in real-world setting and not just anyplace: New York City! Which coincidentally happens to be where "The Smurfs" took place and the latest "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" movie! The only good hybrid movie that was pulled off was "Stuart Little" and I still watch to this day but these movies are all conversation-heavy and slow-paced.
