Medical professionals will assume mental illness when they don't know what is wrong with someone physically. This protects the medical professionals while harming the patients. Somatoform Diagnosis assumes mental illness when physical causes aren't obvious & gives medical professionals a way to abuse patients by denying care for physical illness because of a mental diagnosis.
