We all know the days where the caf is just complete garbage. We pay a great amount of money for this insanely cheap food. We've all heard complaints, time for them to hear us. We propose the cafeteria to have locally grown produce, start to stray away from canned ingredients, and actually know how to cook chicken properly. On top of that, we would like to see similar ingredients used at Pointbreak Cafe used in the cafeteria aswell. We're not asking for much, especially considering how much we are paying for a meal plan. If Sodexo cannot provide us with these simple needs, then it will be time to take the horror stories to the public, beyond the Point Loma bubble. The amount of money each student pays for this ridiculous, sometimes horrifying, food quality needs to come to an end. If you're not informed, the food company who serves federal prisons is Sodexo. So, our beautiful private school is being fed with, literally, prison food. Sodexo also only test their meats for impurities twice. To put this in perspective, McDonald's test their meat seven times. That's right, seven times. This reform needs to happen

I am honestly stunned by how many of you feel the same way about our cafeteria food. We are almost at one hundred signatures so please send this link to a few people you know who might want to help us see some real change.

As an athlete it is really hard everyday to find food to eat in the caf to have balanced and nutritious breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. I feel that when I'm not getting the right foods everyday, my performance suffers!

Just for clarification, in case you guys haven't heard, Sudexo actually serves great food however, we happen to have one of the lowest if not the lowest tiers of Sudexo. I think if we could just get a higher tier of Sudexo that would fix our caf problems.

Let's see... whens theres food it most of the time is not good or healthy. They try and add chicken stations to make it seem healthy but they drown it in oil and sodium. Plus if you go the caf between like 2-5 don't plan on finding anything to eat because they like to take all the food away for a couple hours

I pay so much money and I go to the caf twice a week because it's just not good food. There have been numerous amount of times where I have gotten sick from eating there. And if you live on campus you have to have a meal plan which sucks cause I do most of my cooking in the Goodwin hall kitchen.

For paying 40,000+ dollars a year to attend a private university, you would think the food we were served would at least come close to being satisfying. There is no variety and low quality

Asking for better quality food should not be out of bounds for students, especially not students who can't afford to live off-campus or whose class and work schedules cannot align with Sodexo's.
