As a local resident and business owner I feel things have gotten out of hand. I've had property stolen, business driven away and I can't even walk out my door without finding machetes (I took a pict if anybody doubts me)

The levels of crime and brazen illegal drug use are unacceptable. It's time address this issue with a firm response.

As a Magnolia resident, I wish to sign this petition. I wholeheartedly agree that there has been a dramatic increase in crime in Magnolia in addition to declining police presence and response.

To: "Tito P" this petition was organized by the neighborhoods of Queen Anne, Ballard, Fremont and Magnolia. If you don't live in one of these neighborhoods you don't understand the situation here. Of course there may be higher crime in other areas of Seattle however this is bringing up the most recent wave of crime in the last two years in these areas. These areas are very highly taxed and therefore deserve higher levels of police protection. If you don't live in one of these neighborhoods I suggest you keep your "Scientific data comments" to yourself as you cannot identify with us and certainly did not deserve your criticism or snide comments.

I am vey disappointed in Mayor Murray's choices for this city and the resultant increase in crime and decrease in livability in the city. I'm looking forward to voting for his opponent if Mayor Murray stupidly decides to run for re-election in a few years.

Seattle Mayor, city council, SPD and welfare services: How and why do you let these encampments settle in and destroy our neighborhoods? Encampments in Ballard and Magnolia are dangerous and ruining the neiborhood! So now my house is worth a small fortune and you are letting drug addicts and thieves take over? You need to take our city back for the tax payers! What are you thinking? Homeless drug addicts and thieves are more important than tax paying citizens. You need to change you plan and take care of the property owners for a change! Shame on you!

The Petty Crime epidemic in Whittier Heights is out of control. Despite Whittier Heights Private Police Force. Now, as to the City Hall-AWOL. TOM Whittier Heights

We need to get our Greenwood area back to being safe. I grew up in this area and we never had to be concerned before, now we are.

I believe the Mayor should step it up and take care of these issues immediately. Seattle is a very generous city, and there are many services for those who need help.

I live just west of Green Lake, below Phinney Ridge. There is a big increase in these crimes in our neighborhood. North of us, on Aurora Ave. is a known area for prostitution and drug use, which seems to be driving much of the crime here.

The long response waits and ignored crimes are not ok.
