I live in Magnolia and personally had my car broken in to. My neighbors have also experienced the same issue.

Get some police presence in Ballard! I suggest that Mayor Murray hold a meet & greet our new waterfront RV resort. He could pick up all the needles and meth buckets while he's visiting.

Fremont resident. We have had two vehicle break ins, transients sleeping in bushes and behind buildings, drug paraphernalia on the ground, and a growing graffiti problem, all within a one-block radius. Please help.

To allow this to occur in our neighborhoods is criminal. These are not homeless people who are recovering from bad health, decisions or fate, but criminals, tramps and thieves. They should abide by the laws of the city not be given a pass. To whom does the recent rhetoric really make sense?

I work in Georgetown and there is a lot of motor homes that stay in same place not moving for weeks. They move one block and they have trash all around and are using our parking lot as a bathroom. It's scaring customers away. Please do something about this.

Please don't let our neighborhoods living conditions deteriorate. I have lived in various other cities that were unsafe and have always enjoyed the safe nature of my hometown Seattle.

Please stop the RV lot in Ballard. We need to move criminals & drug addicts out of Seattle, not provided them with a safe haven near major tourist attractions. You have ruined this neighborhood! #onetermmayor

The disgusting human waste, syringes and general trash is unacceptable ! I watch on a daily basis stolen bikes and baby carriages accumulating along with a growing number of indigents at the bottom of my drive way. Police came last week and removed a registered sex offender. At what point do the safety and lives of law abiding citizens matter?!?!?!

I'm ashamed of the inept and failed leadership that has taken a beautiful city backwards into conditions that are on par with 3rd world countries.

A shame it comes to this. Allowing druggies free rein is such a dumb idea it could only happen in this city.

Many thanks to the concerned Seattle citizens who have taken the initiative to make our community safe again. I live near Discovery Park and the former Fort Lawton property and have been concerned about increased trash, vandalism, and illegal behavior for quite some time. It needs to stop.

Ridiculous, I'm paying for tabs and parking tickets - but the city is willing to look the other way when an RV empties human waste and trash all over the street - not to mention the fact that some of these RVs are simply dangerous vehicles that should be junked.

Here's what I've experienced in Seattle:
-Car window smashed 4 times and stuff stolen (usually nothing of value, but annoying to miss work to get the window fixed and pay $250-300 to repair) and car looked through.
-Stolen packages from my front door on two separate occasions and now I have packages delivered to work. Luckily, Amazon delivered a replacement, no questions asked.
-Neighbor's home burglarized by a person threatening them with a knife while they were home (TV and lights were on but that didn't deter the burglar). Thankfully no one was injured and the kids were asleep upstairs.
-Harassment for money when pumping gas in U-District area, and when I said no, the person got mean and aggressive.
-Homeless people sleeping in my neighbor's front yard when the home was for sale.
-Car parked in front of our home for weeks, and it was clear that someone was living/sleeping in their car.
-Needles at the park where my kids play.
-More and more tents near the freeway on my commute to work. These folks have been there for long periods. So long, you can see a pile of trash, bike parts and a basketball hoop.
In general, criminals are walking around knowing they own the city. I saw a post on Nextdoor of neighbors following a woman who was blatantly stealing packages in front of people during the day. Rather than be scared off by folks taking pictures of her with their smartphone, she threatened them that she'd be back and will smash their car/home windows.
Awesome job city officials (sarcasm here).

At the meeting Jan 6, the police said they have to operate within the bounds of the constitution and probable cause. Why are they not enforcing the 72 hour law? Why are they not enforcing current license tabs law? Why are they not enforcing current vehicle insurance law? Why are they not enforcing illegal camping in parks laws? Fremont, too, has suffered an increase in derelict vehicles, illegal camping, drug activity, property crimes, piles of garbage. Police are called but nothing gets done. WHEN is the mayor and city council going to start taking care of law abiding, tax paying citizens? The reason Seattle has seen an increase in homelessness and the associated criminal activity is because Seattle's leaders have made it so hospitable for them to be here. It's one thing to be poor, it's another thing to leave mountains of garbage, human feces and needles all over the place. Many of these people are drug addicts. Where do they get money for drugs? They steal things. My property was broken into this week by a homeless drug addict who is a habitual criminal. Does Mayor Murray really think things are getting better by his actions/inactions? This beautiful city is becoming a garbage dump full of drug addicts.
